GOSHEN, Ind., -- Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI™) reports growing use of its bonded, frameless windows in travel trailer and fifth-wheel recreational vehicle designs during the last 12 months.
"It's all about styling with this product line," said LCI Vice President of Sales Andy Murray. "Bonded frameless windows create a cleaner, more automotive look and cleaner lines on the outside of the RV while streamlining the sidewall."
"Initially, the product was a high-end feature, but now it's used on mid-priced products, and more and more on motorized products," continued Murray. "In order to support this growing trend, LCI has made significant investments in people, facilities and equipment over the past 12 months. Some of the most notable are a 130,000 square foot dedicated frameless window facility which will include its own in-house glass processing and tempering operation, the first if its kind in our industry."
In addition to travel trailer and fifth-wheel RV windows, LCI's window products include:
- Truck cap windows
- Bus windows, including activity bus windows, egress activity bus windows, and electronic switch windows
- Cargo trailer windows
- Horse trailer windows including drop down feed windows, drop down insert windows, side slider windows, and living quarter windows
- Commercial vehicle windows

ELKART, Ind. — Lippert Components, Inc. is pleased to announce that Thor Motor Coach is now using LCI Linc Remote System technology for its Rapid Camp wireless control system on several of its Class A and Class C motorhome brands.
Thor Motor Coach’s Rapid Camp, powered by the Linc Remote System technology, allows users to control the patio awning, slide-out rooms, exterior patio light, leveling jacks and generator from within 50 feet of the motorhome, as well as monitor the progress of each function.
“We recently launched the Rapid Camp wireless system on several brands,” said Jon Krider, Thor Motor Coach’s Director of Marketing. “It definitely simplifies using the coach for our customers. LCI’s Linc Remote System technology provides customers with easy access to their most-used features and allows them to be outside of the coach while operating jacks and slide rooms.” He added, “For instance, if a rain storm rolled in and they were visiting a neighboring coach, they could simply retract the awning using the Rapid Camp without getting wet!”
Rapid Camp is now available on the Hurricane, Windsport, Miramar, Challenger and Outlaw Class A, as well as the Outlaw and F550 “Super C” Class C models.
LCI Body Division Product Manager Chris Ganshorn explained the benefits of the Linc Remote System. “Thor Motor Coach is the first company to use the Linc in a motorhome application, and that’s exciting because motorhome users don’t have to be standing in the center part of their motorhome to operate multiple functions anymore. Instead, Linc allows them to remotely control key functions from as far away as 50 feet, providing them a more convenient set up they can safely monitor from outside the motorhome.”

BURLINGTON, Iowa — Winegard today introduced the Pathway X1 satellite HD TV antenna developed exclusively for DISH high definition and standard definition programming. Mobile TV viewers will find the X1 ideal for outdoor activities such as RVing, tailgating, camping and hunting, the company noted.
The Pathway X1 portable satellite antenna is the smallest satellite antenna on the market today, said Aaron Engberg, director of mobile sales channel for Winegard.
“It is 40 percent smaller than the popular Winegard Carryout and is also the only portable satellite antenna available that offers the ability to convert to a permanent roof mount antenna. Consumers will also appreciate the simple, user-friendly setup and operation,” he added.
“DISH continues to deliver on its promise to provide consumers with the best mobile TV experience. The Pathway X1 allows HD viewing of the same channels — the same TV that you enjoy at home,” said Marcel Guajardo, Senior Product Manager for DISH Network.
Key benefits to the Pathway X1 antenna include:
- Easier to handle, weighing in at just 10 pounds
- Automatically finds DISH satellites
- Single cable setup – antenna powered through receiver via one coax cable
- Perfect solution for one TV, but also supports two coax ports for two TVs
- Setup and watch HD TV in less than 15 minutes
- Unique ability to permanently convert the portable to a roof mounted antenna without having to pay the high price of a roof mounted antenna (roof kit sold separately)
- HD Ready and compatible with DISH HD Solo Receivers with optional pay-as-you-go monthly programming (programming packages sold separately)
- Customers that already subscribe to DISH at home can add the Pathway X1 system (antenna and DISH receiver) to their account for only $7 per month and enjoy their same programming
- SiriusXM channels included in the AT 120 or higher programming package at no additional cost
“Expanding our Pathway family has been a top priority in order to offer our mobile customers smaller, lighter, faster and automatic satellite antenna options,” said Engberg. “The X1 contains the latest technology available and is super easy to setup and operate. For Winegard, it’s all about improving convenience and ease of use for our customers, as well as providing them with the highest quality TV viewing experience – wherever they travel.”
Both Pathway X1 and X2 antennas are compatible with DISH Solo HD receivers (models 411, ViP 211, ViP 211k, and ViP 211z) and with pay-as-you-go programming available in SD/HD packages. Using the remote, customers simply select the state in which they are located and the antenna will automatically locate the DISH satellites.
If mounted to the vehicle roof, the Pathway X1 is for stationary use only. Receiver bundle packages (antenna plus DISH receiver) are available for both the X1 and X2. Additionally, Winegard offers an industry best warranty of two years parts, one year labor on the Pathway models, said Engberg.
